DUBturbo Review – Does it Really Replace a High-End Studio?
Short anwer to the question in the title: yes! I’ll get into the details below in my DUBturbo review.
Official DUBturbo website: www.dubturbo.com
There are lots of ways to create beats today. The “standard” method is to buy a high-end studio with all the insanely expensive accessories, but this obviously isn’t a viable solution for many of us. Even if you’re serious about creating beats, you’d have to spend a chunk of money just to get started, and I’m sure many of you would like to dip your toe in the water before jumping in. So this testing period should be free or really inexpensive.
You have several options in these modern days: free software, online software, downloadable sequencers that cost an arm and a leg and a new breed of beat making software that is right in the middle. This new category started with Sonic Producer I think. Before using SP I tried out many (if not all!) of the free beat making applications but I got sick of them rather soon: low quality samples, drums sound like if you were hitting a metal bucket with a baseball bat… as far from being realistic as it can be. Not being able to save my work, constant freezing, etc. It’s a terrible experience and I really recommend against using any of the free beat making apps, they simply don’t deserve your time.
So after the horrific experience with free software I found Sonic Producer and started using it. On the positive side it has a relatively low price, a better set of features than what the free apps provide, and to be completely honest you can make some nice tracks with it! I had some problems with it because of its limitations and lack of some features that I needed, however when DUBturbo came out I immediately realized that it’s a waaay better deal than Sonic is, and and only then my real “beat making journey” started!
My Personal Experience with DUBturbo
You may think that there’s too much going on on their official website with all the shiny graphics, videos, sounds, flash thingys but in this case the product itself does live up to the hype! Plus you really get a nice amount of content even before you buy anything which is always a huge pro. Buying the software is easy and secure via a gateway called Clickbank, and I know for a fact that Clickbank only lets vendors sell their stuff if the vendors guarantee a 60 days money back policy, so I knew I had the option to cancel and refund if I didn’t like the program. This was about a year ago and of course I didn’t refund, ever.
When checking out they offer some bonuses as well, extra sound kits and a very detailed guide on how to make money with selling the beats and tracks you created, which I really enjoyed, if I remember correctly this was called VIP package or something, I’m not sure, but you’ll see it anyways when going through the order process. After the purchase you get an email explaining everything in detail what you have to do to install the software, which is a really delightful experience after what I’ve been used to when purchasing anything online (I mean they only care about you until you bought the product, but not anymore after that, and that’s definitely NOT the case with the DUBturbo guys). Oh and I’ve sent about 4-5 emails asking questions about some of the new features that came with the free updates since I bought the application and the support guys answered me in only a few hours. Mad props!
The intefrace of the software is really well thought out, navigating is easy and comes naturally after only a few minutes of using DT.
The software is really packed full:
- 16 track sequencer with a drum machine and hundreds of effects
- Full control over BPM (beats per minute) which is really awesome and you’ll appreciate it if you’ve ever created music yourself
- Exports your beats into 44.1 stereo, studio quality WAV files, so you won’t suffer any quality loss because of compression
- Step by step video tutorials! I almost forgot about this essential feature, but it’s one of the best ones when it comes to listing pros of DUBturbo
- Thousands of sounds that are updated each month so you’ll never run out of ways to create awesome new beats
- 4 Octave sampling keyboard, that really is controllable with your PC (or Mac) keyboard!
These are only the most important features, of course there are lots more and the official website has a more detailed list as well if you’re curious. But I recommend trying the software out and experiencing its capabilities first hand, I promise you’ll enjoy every minute spent with it!
Visiting THIS link to DUBturbo will give you a FREE BONUS of 4 premium kits!
Questions that I received in the past from friends and readers of my DUBturbo review
Q: I know nothing about making beats, but I’d really like to make some of my own. Is DUBturbo for me?
A: Absolutely. Besides the really intuitive and highly polished user interface they have lots of tutorial videos that’ll help you get started in minutes.
Q: What if, god forbid, I don’t like the software? Is there a refund policy?
A: YES! Sixty days. I repeat, 60 days “no questions asked” money back guarantee, so you can be sure you’re safe when purchasing. But I can personally guarantee that you will like it: for this price, this set of features is unbeatable.
Q: If I buy today, will I receive the 2.0 version for free?
A: You bet! All current customers will receive the 2.0 upgrade free of charge. HOWEVER, the price WILL GO UP significantly when 2.0 comes out in the following weeks so if you want to lock the price you have to act soon.
Q: I tried other software already, but haven’t found anything of high quality. Why would this be different?
A: Honestly? Try it out and you’ll see. It’sNOTHING like the other software you tried out before, and I’m sure because I have tried them out as well. Before stumbling upon DUBturbo I was a bit disappointed that no software existed for my needs. Try it, seriously.
If you’ still hesitant here’s a chart that compares DUBturbo to the competitors I personally tried out:
So that’s about it. This is an honest DUBturbo review of my past year with the software. And I can’t wait for the 2.0 release, I have contacted the guys a few times about feature changes etc. but they’re hesitant to release classified information
It’s gonna be great for sure, and I’m lucky that I locked my price at it’s current rate, cause one thing they don’t forget to add is that regular price will be above a hundred dollars after 2.0 comes out. Nice, however I’d still buy it without thinking!
Good luck with your beat making journey, and let me know if I can be of any help!
